Preg-testing and diagnostics game changer on the horizon.

Recently the RPL team heard from Doctor Bronwyn Darlington the director and founder of Australian Ag-tech company Agscent.

Dr Darlington was fed up with the lack of technology available for preg-testing and diagnostics, so she decided to come up with her own solution.

The result is a revolutionary breath sensing device designed to maximise efficiency and alleviate the need for the cumbersome process of manual preg-testing done by a vet or qualified persons.

The Agscent Breath device will come in the form of a handheld breathalyser featuring a cup that fits over an animal’s snout to collect breath samples which can be scanned for disease related biomarkers and pregnancy.

This technology will give farmers the ability to perform preg-testing completely non-invasively, in less time than traditional methods and without the need for a vet or qualification.

Not only will Agscent breath increase efficiency but I could also have huge prodictivity benefits with the ability to distinguish wet and dry cows from 16 days post- insemination.
